Our Top Tips To Relaxing

Sit back, relax and unwind… it can often be quite difficult to even do one of these things, let alone all three. It is so important that you do take time out of your day for yourself, even if you can only manage 10 minutes then it is certainly worth it. So, we’ve gathered a few tips or activities to do to help you unwind after a busy day.

Captivating, thrilling or romantic, you really can’t beat a page turner when you’re looking for something to do to help you relax. Grab yourself a hot cup of tea or coffee and find a comfy spot whether it be in your garden or your house! Then open up your book and get lost in a fictional world. We’re just about to start reading ‘Little Fires Everywhere’ by Celeste Ng, so many people have recommended this book that we thought we would give it a read.

Can you really beat a lovely hot bubble bath packed with your favourite scented bubbles and a great Lush bath bomb? When you get home from work or college and your feet ache and you think you stink there is really nothing better than running a bath. If you’re feeling a bit tense, stressed or agitated then put on the full works. Bubble bath, bath salts, bath bomb, face mask, scented candles and even a small glass of prosecco. Why not?

Meditating has become more popular over the years and there are so many free ways to help you mediate. A guy on a train going to London once told us that Youtube is full of accounts that offer various length videos for people to meditate. In addition, we quite like the app called ‘Headspace’ they offer really good sleep casts for someone who struggles to get to sleep and also 5 minutes mediation tutorials that you tune in every day to. You can unlock more for additional money but the free version is just as good.

Finally, it’s a walk in the park! Quite literally a relaxing walk is always a great way to get some fresh air and clear your head. We usually walk our dogs and we’re very fortunate to live in the countryside so we walk the well-trodden fields and take in the stunning views. You can opt to hearing the nature and wildlife at its finest or put in your earphones and listen to your go to playlist or a great podcast. Whichever way you prefer, but going on walks isn’t just great for your health but also works wonders for relaxing.

We hope you enjoyed this blog post and our tips and activities to help you unwind work. These are just based off what we love to do so hopefully they will work for you! If you have any more tips then please feel free to leave them in the comments as it would be great to know some more. Staying with the theme of relaxing, we both will be taking a short break from our blog over the course of June to rejuvenate and freshen our minds – we hope to come bouncing back in the summer!

Thank You,

Jade and Lydia

Lydia's April Favourites

I'm not late to the party... everyone else is just early! So, I know that April was many moons ago but I was very keen on sharing what I have been loving this past month. April has been an exciting month and we was able to celebrate not only Jade's birthday but we made so many more memories and oh my gosh not forgetting the beautiful weather we had during the easter bank holiday's! While I had a good April I also enjoyed a few items, without further ado lets get into the blog post.

My first April favourite is this Ted Baker spray I got as part of a gift set for Christmas. It's a nice scent plus it lasts for ages, I have to admit I prefer my Shawn Mendes perfume, but because I use that up so quickly I'm trying to use the Ted Baker more. I find the Ted Baker one lasts all day and just smells really nice!

The next of my April favourites are my Adidas Stan Smiths, now this may be a bit of a random one, but these shoes are the comfiest shoes I have! I bought these and my Vans at the same time and as much as I love my vans, these are so much more comfier. They are starting to age a bit with the look of them especially because they are white, but I can't fault them any other way, honestly so comfy, especially if you're on your feet all day!

*Gifted*

My third favourite is this product by Design.Me. We were gifted this by the company, its called 'Puff.Me light'. 'Puff.Me light' is a powder that volumises your hair, we have talked about this company on our blog before and their hair products are just amazing! This 'Puff.Me light' works so well to put volume in your hair, works best with fine to medium hair, plus they have other products for different hair types. I find it works best after I have washed my hair and blow dried it straight, it's usually flat, so I pop some of this in and wow it adds immense volume. A little goes a long way and you certainly will be able to use this product for months.

My final April favourite is a Netflix original TV series called Riverdale. I'm sure either me or Jade have talked about Riverdale before, but both of us have been loving it recently because its getting so good again!! Like the season finale aired a few days ago.... WOW! I am so shook it's unreal, loved every minute of it. If you haven't watched it, I really recommend it!

These are the top 4 things I've loved over the past month. What are your favourite things that you've been loving last month?

Thank You,

Lydia
